Updates on the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R project bike:
➕Power: I have installed the Powertronic Fuel X Pro fuel tuner. It runs better at low RPM with better response and less stalling/flame out. I am also adding a DNA high flow air filter to see if that helps add even more power. These mods don't really increase peak power output (despite some misleading advertising claims), but give you better throttle response and low-mid range power.
➕Clunking noise. It is coming from the swingarm pivot area, but nothing is loose that I can find. It's nothing to do with the (amazing) Black Dog skid plate or anything else I've added.
➕Kickstand. I glued a magnet to the sensor, to trick it into thinking the kickstand is always up. This is not an "approved" fix by KTM of course, but it works. KTM have released an updated spring, to supposedly help with the issue (I have not tried it yet). The random stalling / flame outs were not to do with the kickstand sensor, that is a fueling issue (see above).
➕Suspension. I've been bottoming out the rear shock when going over jumps or riding faster, which this bike loves to do. I am taking in my rear shock (removal is super simple) to my local suspension guru to have the spring changed to a higher rate. I am pretty happy with the forks.
➕Cruise Control. Still no update on availability in the USA.
This bike is SO MUCH lighter and easier to ride (and pick up) than my Tenere 700, I find myself taking it onto challenging off road trails even riding by myself. And, it can still cruise the highway at 70 mph relatively smoothly.
Videos coming soon.

It's not which bike is BEST. It's which bike is best FOR YOU.
I've reviewed the Honda Transalp 750 ($9,999), Suzuki V-Strom 800DE ($11,709), and Yamaha Tenere 700 ($10,999) in isolation. Now, I am putting them head to head. For anyone looking for a solid, capable, extremely reliable, do it all midsize motorcycle, these are the 3 that are likely on the top of your list.
For 2025, Honda has updated the suspension, windshield, electronics, and paint colors (yay!) on the Transalp. Yamaha have made comprehensive updates to their Tenere as well. The Suzuki is the newest to the category and receives only paint color updates for 2025.
I'll break down the differences that matter so you can decide which is best for you. Any specific areas you want me to cover, chime in below.
Thank you to Honda and Suzuki for providing loaner bikes for this comparo (I own the Tenere).

I'm in Milwaukee for the North American launch of the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450. This is a sporty, accessible (low seat height), versatile street bike (17-inch wheels front and back) using the new 450cc engine we're familiar with from the Himalayan. Is this the sportiest Royal Enfield we've seen yet?
Pricing is under embargo until Thursday, but you can bet it will be extremely competitive. If you liked the Hunter 350 but needed more power, this is your bike! Full ride review coming soon. Any specific topics you want me to cover, drop them below.

PS: More content on the 390 and Tenere 700 is coming very soon, in addition to the CRF300L Rally review, 2025 Transalp review, Can-Am Origin review, and a shootout between the Transalp, V-Strom 800DE and Tenere 700.

The 2025 Tenere 700 is coming together. The new suspension, new TFT, and ride by wire throttle make the 2025 a much better overall motorcycle.
All the upgrade parts on this bike will be detailed in my next video. It's got actual real cruise control! On a T7! Plus a lot more. Stay tuned!

Lone Rider just dropped their brand new MotoPanniers. I’ll have a detailed video in the next 2 days (my set is still on the FedEx truck as we speak). The 20% off presale starts now and goes until this Sunday. If you’re ordering, I’d appreciate you using my affiliate link which will be below.
These new hard panniers, a great option for road focused ADV and touring riders due to increased security and convenience versus soft bags, have some super cool features that make them stand above the typical OE or aftermarket hard bags. Check them out on the Lone Rider website.
Bike compatibility : for R1200GSA and R1250GSA with the OEM racks, these are a direct fit onto your racks (nice!). For other applications, you’ll need to order the MotoRack specific for your bike. Racks currently are available for R1300GS and GSA, R1200 and 1250GS and GSA (if you don’t have OEM GSA racks), Tenere 700, Tiger 900 and 1200, Africa Twin 1100, and KTM 1290 Adventure S/R.
My full demonstration of these panniers on an R1300GSA will be posted ASAP. Again, I’d appreciate you using my affiliate links if you are ordering anything from Lone Rider.

Honda has improved the 2025 CRF300L Rally with stiffer suspension, new graphics, and better heat management. But how much better is it? I'm doing an in-depth review to find out. I feel I didn't do this bike justice when I reviewed it a few years ago, so I promise to do better this time!
The Rally version is unique because it's basically a dual sport with a light adventure setup from the factory. Why don't more manufacturers do this?
I could see this with a big bore kit from @crf300lbigbore being a bit of a unicorn. @arihenning211

When I read that the new Can-Am Origin electric dual sport cost $14,500 and had a range of only about 70 miles (mixed use), I became highly skeptical, and I know I'm not alone.
Then, Can-Am lent me one for a month, and I went out and started testing it. And... maybe I was wrong.
I've been having a BLAST riding this thing. From 0 to 40 mph, it will blow the doors off most any other motorcycle, on or off road. Because it is so quiet, I feel more connected to the world around me. It offers a unique ride experience you can't get on a regular gas-powered dual sport. I'm not saying better, but... different. With 21/18 wheels, long-travel KYB suspension, and reasonable weight around 410 lb (185 kg), it has some legit off road chops.
It's got innovative features like regenerative braking, reverse gear, a liquid cooled battery, motor and charger, a totally silent ENCLOSED oil-bath chain drive, a single side swingarm with the electric Rotax motor integrated inside it, apple carplay integrated into the huge TFT, and more.
I love to geek out about new technology, and my in-depth review will cover the ins and out, pros and cons, of this truly unique motorcycle.
While the limited range and (arguably) high price point clearly limit the mass-market appeal, if you can keep an open mind and get past that, you start to realize there are some amazing benefits (that you probably haven't thought of, because I didn't either) of an electric powerplant for adventure and dual sport riding.
Will electric motorcycles become mainstream, someday? Share your thoughts below. (my vote is yes, once battery chemistry / energy density improves along with faster charging, giving us realistic range / faster charge times and lower cost to compete with gas)
