This is it!! 3,000km, 2 islands, Te Araroa trail complete 🥹🥰 Another 35km down, just 35km and 1 day to go 🥹🥾 TA day 93 - out of the Longwoods and finally back on the coast. Two days to go ✌🏼 My first views down to Bluff & the end point of TA (and the mud 🥲) #teararoa TA day 91 through the last of the trails farmland 🐮 3 whole months of hiking - 150km to go of 3,000 😮‍💨 Day 89 with the coast finally in sight and just 200km to go 🥳 Day 88, it only gets muddier from here 🫣 Day 87, Mavora Lakes to Te Anau ✨ Camped up on the Mavora Lakes ⛺️ TA day 85, out of the rain and onto the Mavora Walkway 🌾 Day 84, Arrowtown - Queenstown through some beautifulllll areas overlooking the mountains TA day 83, officially through the hills and out into Arrowtown ✌🏼 Up up up & down down down 😅 happy to say I didn’t slide off any cliffs crossing the Motatapu Trail TA day 81 - hot, cold and everything in between heading back into the mountains 🏔️ Day 80 and still getting prettier and prettier out here 🤯 #teararoatrail #teararoa #hike #nz 79 days of hiking down and ive honestly never appreciated a camp chair more in my life 🫶🏼 TA day 78 - last of the major river crossings and honestly much appreciated in the hot weather 🥵 77 days down and still as changeable as ever 🌦️ The nicest change to be out of the packs in the summer weather on A2O 🚴‍♀️ Day 75 on TA river walking through to beautiful views of the stunning blue Lake Tekapo 💧 Up up up and over Stag Saddle the highest point on the TA ❄️ Views on views from Crooked Spur to Royal Hut for day 73 on TA 🤩 Days 71 & 72 on the TA now heading out onto the Two Thumb track Day 70 hiking the TA 🥾 Killer day moving through sections of river, road, forest and trail now on towards the Rakaia River Roller coaster of a day on TA 😴 TA day 67, bush bashing my way along the Hurunui River 💧 Day 66 hiking Te Araroa and still haven’t worked out how to avoid the sand flies 😅 Day 65, back onto trail today for a long stretch following the Hurunui River through the mountains TA day 64 - out of the bush and back to town 🥾 Wet wet shoes leaving Waiau - day 63 A wild one on Waiau ❄️At 1,870m Waiau Pass is the second highest point on the TA Summer snow caps in NZ 🥹❄️ #teararoa 2,000k’s, 60 days hiking the Te Araroa trail across NZ and some of the best alpine views yet 🫶🏼 Day 59 onto the Waiau Pass, if only the water was a little warmer ❄️ The end of the Richmond Ranges and on to Nelson ⛵️ More views, huts and hills through Richmond - TA day 56 Day 55 on TA hiking through the Richmond Ranges 🏔️🥾 TA day 54 - Mount Rintoul views got me missing the mountains 🤩 Pretty mountains & remote country views for day 53 on TA Day 52, into the Richmond Ranges 🏔️ #teararoa TA day 51, Queen Charlotte Track done and dusted before to much wet weather 🌧️ 50 days of hiking through beautiful New Zealand ⛵️🌍💧 Bring on South Island New Zealand 🥾🙌🏼 #teararoa #hike #nz 1,700km down and that’s a wrap on North Island NZ, catch you for the South 👋🏼 Wet, wild and windy for day 45 hiking New Zealand ⚡️ Certainly no chance of drying the shoes for day 44 🌧️
