If this RIDICULOUSLY compressed gif doesn't sell you on the video, I don't know what will... But if you're interested, my lastest video covers a cool FREE tool called FlowFrames that you can use to interpolate videos and double the framerate! I compare After Effects' built in Optical Flow with the plugin Twixtor (all you epic gamers out there will know what that is already) and pit those two against Flow Frames (spoiler: Flow Frames takes the cake) โ check it our here: https://youtu.be/bxOvxTuvUag

What if I told you we could take the time to simulate, render & composite ghosts using blender and after effects that couldโve EASILY just been someone under a sheet? I know, I know, try to contain your excitement. You can go ahead and watch the video here if you missed my upload a few days ago: https://youtu.be/BUOZCaqDCEU

the almighty *algorithm* isn't being kind to my newest video! If you haven't seen it already, I delve a bit into video essay territory and talk about how cinematography, editing, and sound design are used to building suspense in horror films! โ and don't get scared away! I promise there are no jumpscares in the video!
So give it a watch and to help battle the youtube algorithm, give it a comment and a like as well! Thanks! :)

Its been a little while since my last video but I just recently moved to the UK so cut me some slack! โ I'm working on the next tutorial now, but in the meantime why don't you check out an older video where I show some great uses for the Wiggle Expression!
Whether you don't know anything about expressions in After Effects or already know about wiggle, I think it's definitely worth a watch!

Hey! Woah! Hold up! Exclamation! -- thank you all for helping the academy reach 10k subscribers! I've had a blast making tutorials and I've got loads of ideas for more to make in the future! ALSO, we managed it in JUST under a year as well, so what do you say we hit 30k by year 2? Deal?.... I'm gunna take your silence as a deal. Actually that's not fair, let's put it to a poll
Also also, I'd really appreciate the help jump starting our sprint to 30k so if you've got a heart of gold I'd love it if you could shout me out to your homies and tag me on twitter (@academyofedits) or instagram! (@theacademyofedits)

Welcome to the number one Academy to get more gooderโข at editing.
I watched hundreds of tutorials when I was younger, some were AMAZING and gave me little nuggets of wisdom I still use to this day!... and some were typed out on notepad as '009 sound system' blared in my ears. But my point is from watching tutorials and filming myself to practice vfx whenever I could as a kid, to now where I'm actually paid to edit, I owe a lot to YouTube tutorials. That's why I want this channel to be the channel that 11 year old me would've learned the most from. So.... If you're not 11 year old me please leave. this isn't for you. get out of here already this is a private matter.
