Hello everyone. Here is your September week 1 workout schedule.
For some of you, this month will be no different to the past couple of months. For others like myself September is 'get back on track' kind of month. A bit like January. Kids go back to school, which means we can get back to our routines.
My workouts are never as consistent or solid when the kids are off school but I wanted to remind you all, not to ever beat yourself up about slacking it during the holidays. That workout or session at the gym is always waiting for you. Your children wont be there forever. Enjoy your time off, treasure every moment and let's make memories with our children, not just that workout mat or dumbbells.
We are starting this month with a super sweaty strength and cardio workout but I would like to point your attention to Wednesday's workout. One of the hardest lower body workouts I've done in the past two years. And guess what? It's a no repeat supersets class. I wanted to share with you my personal body recomp progress with my home workouts alone as I get a lot of comments about home workouts/ no repeat workouts not being effective in terms of muscle hypertrophy.
Current scientific evidence points to heavy load, low reps for muscle hypertrophy. As you know most of my workouts are no repeat, high rep but pretty close to rep failure. I guess there is no short answer for everything but I do believe that CONSISTENCY over INTENSITY is what drives best results. My body is continually changing and it's purely down to the workouts you see in these schedules. Your hard work will pay off. You just need to accept that change takes time. There are no quick fixes.

This week is great mix of Pilates and strength training. We are focusing on core stability, slow and controlled movement and exercising mind muscle connection.
Saying that we will be kicking this week off with a sweaty, dynamic and low impact METCON workout.
On Wednesday we have a brand new hourglass strength workout with a bodyweight core finisher. Here we will slow right down, feel every push and pull focusing on back, shoulders, glutes and quads. A true hourglass builder.
On Saturday we have a last member's video of the month- glute and core focused Pilates strength using dumbbells and ankle weights.

July week 4 is here. We have such a fun and diverse week ahead of us.
We are kicking it off with a 30 minute arms & abs Pilates workout. I encourage you to keep your dumbbells relatively light for this session in order to emphasize mind muscle connection. This focus on mindful movement and muscle activation enhances the effectiveness of your workout. Please remember that in essence, Pilates is not just about physical movement, but also about cultivating a deeper connection between the mind and body, leading to a more effective and fulfilling workout experience.
On Wednesday we have a pretty challenging for both body and mind full body strength workout, using two sets of dumbbells. Here I encourage you to go as heavy as you possible can, while maintaining a good form.
And a brand new member's video on Saturday is all about improving your cardiovascular endurance, functional movement and strength, with an added core finisher.

July week 3 is here, and this week is all about core stability and coordination as we utilize a lot of compound standing exercises. We will pay close attention to core engagement and correct breathing to help us power through upper and lower body work.
Tomorrow we have a dynamic, full body Power Pilates flow using light sets of dumbbells to get us warmed up for this fun week ahead.
On Wednesday we have an all standing METCON workout.
On Saturday we will work that booty and quads with a new and challenging lower body, members' strength routine.
