A massive fire broke out last night in the ICU of Sawai Man Singh Hospital’s Trauma Centre in Jaipur, claiming six lives. Eleven patients were admitted in the ICU, and thirteen more in a nearby semi-ICU.
According to Trauma Centre In-charge Dr. Anurag Dhakad, a short circuit caused the fire, which spread rapidly with toxic gases. Hospital staff acted swiftly, evacuating 24 patients, but sadly, six critically ill patients could not be saved despite rescue and CPR efforts.
