People trust their doctors as they should. But there is a massive healthcare system failure due to misinformation. The well-intentioned doctors are regurgitating wrong information and bad advice about proper nutrition that was established in the last 30-40 years based on pseudo-science that led to the obesity and diabetes epidemic we all see.

Most chronic diseases are dietary diseases. Most cases of obesity and type 2 diabetes are the consequence of a lifetime of horrible nutrition based on ultra-processed food that did not even exist 50-100 years ago. The only fix for dietary diseases is a dietary approach.

It is not in the best interest of the healthcare industry and pharmaceutical companies to see you very healthy because they can’t profit from you. Also they don’t want you dead for the same reason.

Chronic diseases are the perfect business model as when you’re sick enough to always need medications and medical care for many years, you don’t have to be a genius to realize who’s the winner and who’s the loser.

Doctors want to help patients and cure as many diseases as possible, but chronic diseases are labeled as such because by definition they’re not curable and require lifelong treatment.

This is where I disagree with my colleagues because I know many conditions can be reversed with the dietary prescription. It’s not easy or quick, but it works.

I have several patients who reversed diabetes and high blood pressure and came off all medications including my own mother.

I want everybody to at least know that there is another option that has a permanent fix and does not require medications.

Sugar has zero nutritional value, yet it’s one of the most consumed substances in our diet and it is also at the root of many chronic diseases.

The simple reason is because sugar is highly addictive and enhances the flavor for a lot of processed foods and even restaurant foods, which leads to overconsumption and more sales 💰 for the food companies.

Sugar destroys kids’ (and adults) teeth, causes childhood and adult obesity, contributes to insulin resistance and the development of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, gout, PCOS, fatty liver disease, acid reflux, migraines, anxiety, depression, etc. Even cancer is strongly linked to sugar overconsumption.

Despite this knowledge and hearing it many times, people have a hard time quitting sugar. Even if they quit, there is a high risk for relapse no different than smoking and alcoholism.

Is the pleasure you get for a few minutes from consuming a huge amount of sugar worth the health crisis you’ll experience in the years to come?

We need to realize that we’re a society of addicts before we can do something about it.

People and doctors love to say “it’s genetic” for many chronic diseases to remove the responsibility of the individual. The family history is part of a complete doctor’s visit to get a sense of what the patient is at increased risk for.

People who have health problems but are not yet aware that they can do something about it say:
Obesity “runs in my family”
Diabetes “runs in my family”
My high blood pressure is “genetic”.
“My dad and uncles all had heart disease, so I’m gonna get it”

Here is the truth: all genes tell you is what you’re predisposed to get. What that means is that it tells you what you’re at increased risk to have given the right circumstances.

However, your genes do NOT determine if you become obese, get diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.

These are products of your environment, mainly food environment.

If you live and eat poorly for years on end, you are more likely to manifest what your gene have predisposed you to. But if you live a healthy life and eat well, those gene have no chance to express themselves.

Remember… those genes you’re blaming for your poor health actually had a survival benefit for your ancestors. The genes didn’t change. The environment changed.

So, don’t make excuses for yourself. Some people will have it harder than others to get healthier, but we all have it under our control to get healthier.

For the right seed to grow, it needs good soil. Fix the soil!

Everybody wants to lose weight these days, yet very few are able to do it and even fewer people are able to keep it off.

Why?

The main reason is that people are getting the wrong advice or they are not willing to change the root cause of why they gained weight over the years.

So you go on a “diet”, you restrict yourself, you do a lot of cardio, you restrict calories, you waste money buying supplements and juices.

At the end of the day you’re lighter on money, frustrated, exhausted, hungry and you didn’t lose any meaningful weight.

There is nothing wrong with you. It’s not about your lack of effort or willpower.

The problem is that the body is a complex biological machine and need to address the root cause.

Most people gain weight because they’re eating too much energy in the form of sugar, refined carbs and refined fats.

At the same time people are not eating enough protein.

The result is that your fat storing hormones and hunger hormones are always on because your body is not getting the nutrition it needs.

The solution is much simpler:

1. You have to prioritize protein and you have to eat a lot more of it.

2. You have to limit or eliminate sugar, refined carbs like bread, pasta, flour and you need to remove refined fats in the form of seed oils.

3. You need to eat enough real whole food to be full

4. When you’re full, you don’t snack and you eat less often.

5. Fasting is one of the most powerful tools, but you have to fix your hunger first before you do this effectively.

Start making those changes and watch yourself lose weight will less effort and no hunger.

#Change doesn’t happen overnight. Also, wishing for change doesn’t make it happen. You have to DO SOMETHING. Stop making excuses.

Start with what you know. Get into the habit of taking small actions in the right direction. This will open your eyes to do more things that become possible and before you know it, you’re doing what you thought was impossible!

All you have to do is START. The rest will follow.

I made plenty of excuses to myself before taking my health seriously a few years ago.

Think about what’s holding you back. Chances are it’s YOU. We are masters at excuses:
“I’m busy.”
“I’m tired.”
“You don’t have kids, so you won’t understand.”
“I don’t have time to cook.”
“Easy for you to say since you’re thin.”

Really!?

You have to eat, don’t you?
All you have to do is make different food choices. You can prepare a healthy meal in less than 30 minutes.

Let’s admit it. We are addicted to junk food. We make our kids addicted to junk food. Kids who are overweight is a crime and sets them up for lifelong health issues. We have nobody else to blame but ourselves.

So yes, FOOD IS UNDER YOUR CONTROL!

Skipping meals, might seem harmless, but it can mess with your body in surprising ways:

🚨Metabolism Mishaps:

Your body’s internal clock relies on regular meals.

Skipping them can slow down your metabolism and affect how your body manages sugar and weight.

🚨Weaker Immunity:

Missing meals can stress your body, weakening your immune system and making you more prone to illnesses.

🚨Gut Trouble:

Your gut health depends on consistent nutrition. Skipping meals can upset the balance of good bacteria in your digestive system, leading to discomfort and digestive issues.

🚨Higher Health Risks:

Regularly skipping meals, especially breakfast, is linked to a higher risk of heart problems and even a shorter lifespan.

Dm for a sustainable plan right now.

Sometimes the best meal is Nothing.

Let your body repair itself. Just because it says breakfast time or lunch time, it doesn’t mean you have to eat, especially if you’re not hungry.

#intermittentfasting is one of the most powerful tools in fixing your insulin resistance and help with weight loss and reversing chronic diseases like #diabetes

Try it from time to time.

No BLAME here...

Just a powerful truth:

Your health journey is in your hands

Take charge of your health—

Acknowledge the truth..
Face it...
and accept responsibility, without blame.

Chronic diseases like obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and fatty liver disease don't manifest suddenly.

They evolve over years, nurtured by your choices—the soil, fertilizer, and water you provide.

Heart attacks and strokes don't occur in healthy individuals overnight.

They are like avalanches, the result of years of poor lifestyle choices, leading to insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and a damaged vascular system prone to clotting.

But here's the wakeup call—

You can stop and reverse this process.

Seize control before irreversible damage occurs.

Reverse obesity and diabetes through proper nutrition, not the conventional advice.
