Due to some ongoing health concerns, I'm pausing all laser cutting for Late Night Hobbies until at least the first quarter of 2025. I have some things I need to address and figure out before I continue on with my structure kit side business. Thanks to everyone who has shown interest and even acquired some of my kits thus far! Within less than a year Late Night Hobbies sales have paid off all debts related to getting the business started (big item being the laser cutter cost), and it has been "in the black" since September. That's pretty awesome! However, if I don't take care of some issues, there won't be a Joey to run the business, so that's my primary focus for a bit. Here's hoping 2025 will be a return to more LNH kits!

Update: Thanks for the well-wishing, however it's a long-term chronic condition I'm dealing with, I simply have to make some life style and environmental changes to be able to better deal with it on a daily basis. I fully intend to return to the kits as soon as I make those changes.

Thank you to everyone who has placed orders for my LNH structure kits! I've had so many orders recently that nearly all of my stock has been sold out!

Keep in mind that this is all done in my spare time, so it'll take some time to replenish the stock levels for all of my current kits. In the meantime, happy modeling!

PS. I love to see what folks are doing with these kits, so feel free to share what you're up to!

Last month I had the fantastic opportunity to visit the headquarters of the Finger Lakes Railway located in Geneva, NY. I had inquired with the railroad to see if I could gather measurements and photos of some of their buildings, sending along some example photos of my kits to give them an idea of what I was aiming to achieve. They were very kind and gave me a tour of their location, and allowed me to take any measurements and photos required in order to reproduce one of their facilities in HO scale kit form. Today I finished putting the building together, and once I finish taking photos of it, I'll be donating this first model of it back to the railroad as a thank you and so they can display it wherever they choose.

While most of the measurements are accurate in the kit, and it represents the building in overall scale, I did have to make some concessions here and there to make it work as a kit. For example, the actual building was constructed on a slight grade, and so I needed to level it to make it work on a flat surface. Also, there were additions to the building that I felt I would need a lot more time to reproduce effectively, and I gave myself a fairly rigid deadline. Overall, it's a very close replica of the structure, and would work great for anyone modeling the Finger Lakes Railway in HO scale, or as an office building on any shortline railroad (or any generic structure that has a garage/shop space). I still need to create instructions and packaging, but this will be available in the near future!

Finally will have some N scale structure kits for sale! More to come, but this small warehouse style structure, which can be found in thousands of small business parks and industrial settings across North America, is the first one to be up on latenighthobbies.com.

New HO scale kit coming later this month! Based on an actual building in Syracuse, NY. This one is condensed to about 60% of the actual building's footprint.

For the folks who are contacting me via my website (latenighthobbies.com) for international shipping quotes, I have noticed that my reply emails might not be arriving in your primary inbox. Please check your spam folder to see if my replies are being sent there. Some folks are contacting me again wondering if I'll ever get back to them, and I definitely am replying to every request I see come in.

Thanks again for the interest in my kits!

In addition to the new HO scale rail served structure, another variation of the flex structure in HO scale is upcoming as well. Based on an actual building in Syracuse (including the example paint job!). Hoping to have these two new kits in stock on the site the week of Memorial Day.

I'm getting close to releasing the next HO scale kit, I just need to finish writing up the instructions and figuring out the best way to package it. My goal is to have some listed on the website by the end of May, which I think I'll be able to accomplish (even though my free time has been limited lately). I really like this building; it caught my eye the moment I drove by it last year.

(Trailer, railcar, and track not included)
