A Punjabi among Pashtuns, a Christian among Muslims. I have seen it all: from combating smuggling on the Afghan-Iran borders to seizing tons of illicit substances and dollars in drug enforcement, and witnessing the heart-wrenching poverty in refugee camps. I've experienced the hustle of border markets peddling AK47s, double-barrel anti-aircraft (dushakas), and Stinger missiles, to overseeing launches loaded with liquor in a country with prohibition. My journey has led me from the boardrooms of the IMF, The World Bank, and the corridors of the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
I've walked red carpets at movie premieres, delved into the realms of writing, directing, and acting, to driving long haul across North America. Through it all, I've seen the spectrum of human experience.
