CONGRATULATIONS! Thanks to you we've officially funded a full-length American Idiot documentary! Next up on the dream list: a revamped Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark documentary.
Not only was it the world's most dangerous musical, it's also the one that put Wait in the Wings on the map. Five years ago we dove into the history of the $75 million disaster Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, but we only skimmed the surface. Once we hit $25,000 we'll dive deeper into the production history of this show than ever before with interviews from the people who actually lived it.
Why was it called Turn Off the Dark? What did Sony think of the fiasco? What does the cast and crew think over ten year away from its closing?
The show signaled the start of Wait in the Wings and I can't think of a more fitting documentary to signal the start of the channel's next era.

Getting close to hitting our next Kickstarter goal to make the American Idiot the Musical documentary so I started doing some early research...
The fact that this musical wouldn't have happened without the movie "Flicka" should be reason enough to chip in just to see how deep this tangent goes.

My goodness. One hour later and we've already almost hit our first $15,000 goal, have become the second highest ranked film project in the US on Kickstarter, have become the highest ranked documentary WORLDWIDE on Kickstarter, and we've completely sold out of our $400 prop megapack.
This is so incredibly humbling and myself and the entire team are so incredibly grateful for your support. I always say each year that the Kickstarter is like our performance review to check in and see if you still like what we're doing and if we should keep doing this. This year is blowing us away.
