I love food so I made it my top priority to create delicious meal plans that I look forward to eating. (No one wants to live off boiled chicken and broccoli šŸ¤¢)
2ļøāƒ£IF I DIDN'T WANT TO DO IT, I DIDN'T
I only focused on habits I was ready to change. If I didnā€™t want to exercise (which I didnā€™t for years) then I just didnā€™t do it. Instead, I focused on a daily 10k step goal and crushed it! As a busy mom of 2, my best had to be enough and it always was. All that time I spent beating myself up because I couldn't keep up to these impossible expectations was totally unnecessary.
3ļøāƒ£ I STOPPED OVERTHINKING AND OVERCOMPLICATING
I did what works. I drank more water, got more steps, cleaned up my diet, loved my food and let it all be easy! There was no secret formula ā€œhow come everyone else can do it and not me?!ā€ - instead, I figured out what worked for my body and got really consistent doing those things so I got more results.

Hi Friends, let me tell you about the difference in size 16 me ā€”> size 4 me.
My habits wereā€¦ messyā€¦ to say the least.

šŸ’§Water used to be nonexistent for me. I know today everyone has a Stanley glued to their palm (My eyes bug out as I watch the middle schoolers get on the bus in my neighborhood and they all have oneā€¦) but when I was younger, (back in the 90's) water was the furthest thing on my mind.
Fast forward to 2024, I drink over 100oz everyday, itā€™s easy, I love that Iā€™m seeing all the benefits of hydration and I donā€™t even have to think about it!

šŸ’ŖšŸ¼Then there's exercise... *cue the Rocky soundtrack* In the past I would pump myself up HARD and start extreme, hour long HIIT sessions I ordered from a 2am infomercial. It took longer to get the DVDs delivered because it lasted (maybe) 2 days before I gave up.
Jump ahead again to 2024 and I am LOVING my weight training routine.
I have stuck to my 5-day per week habit for months now! EASILY.

šŸ‘ŸSteps were always the thorn in my side. When I started tracking them I was doing about 2k per day. Office job, long commute both waysā€¦ it was just HARD. But then I started nightly walks with my dogs, parking further away at the store, taking laps on my lunch breakā€¦. I ā€œfoundā€ the steps.
Now, my priority is 10K minimum and itā€™s a nonnegotiable. Again- EASE.

šŸ½ļøI am a self proclaimed "foodie". I always thought losing weight meant DIETING. Which to me, meant giving up all my favorite, eating bland food that tasted gross, and never going out to eat or socializing again.
Food was extreme.
I was either hard core, crash dieting, restricting everything OR binge eating, pigging out on anything and everything, and saying ā€œIā€™ll diet tomorrowā€- but tomorrow never came.
Until I decided to change my focus!

When habits and routines are easy, youā€™re going to do them.
When your mindset agrees that accomplishing the habit is fun, simple, doable, and there are benefits-your mindset WANTS to do them each day.

Yesterday Iā€¦.

Got 13,498 steps

I ate perfectly at 42g net carbs and 110g protein (in a perfect window for me)

I drank 110oz of water plus seltzer cans, coffee, electrolytes, and colostrum.

I slept for 8.5 hours.

I fasted until 1:15pm.

I did a 32 minute weight training workout.

I went to the park with my kids.

I watched Netflix with my husband.

Am I right when I guess that you want these to be your daily stats too?

10 years ago my whole life looked completely different than how it does now.

I was struggling to find a weight loss plan that got me results and I was struggling mentally to believe I could ever be at my goal weight again.

I decided to commit to a plan for 30 days, one month and see what I could accomplish.
Let me remind you, during this period of my life I was yo-yo dieting, starting and stopping workout regiments every other week, barely drinking water, and my steps count was under 2k every dayā€¦ I felt like a hot mess.
But yet, I still made the commitment.
