I didn’t know Billy personally, but Game Chasers was one of the biggest inspirations for me when I first started making videos. It was the first retro gaming channel I ever saw with such great production value. It honestly looked like something that could’ve been on TV. But what made it special was how it transcended the retro gaming community. At its heart, it was just friends hanging out, having fun, and fuckin' around together. That’s what made it so genuine.
I never got to meet Billy, but I was still shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Not to make this about me, but I wanted to share how much he influenced even my little shitty channel. Before I really knew what direction I wanted to take, I actually made a Game Chasers style episode (It was a complete rip off actually). This was about ten years ago. It was really fun to make, but the only reason we didn’t keep going in this direction was because we couldn’t find enough games to keep it up. Every time we went hunting, we came up empty-handed.
But I guess that’s the way game chasing go.
RIP Billy.

Just opened up for community posts. Let’s get this going and talk about couch co-op gaming. What’s your favorite couch co-op game of the year so far? Split Fiction is the obvious choice. I’m also really enjoying Popucom.
