This weekend im getting prepared to travel to poland for some personal business - anddd cant miss the ocasion visiting poland - will go for a fossil hunt in the late cretaceous location where is expect not to come back home empty handed. Question is - would like like to video with vlog like aproach or strict to the business - fossil hunting only?:) please vote i need some information😁

Today i have something special to share with you! You are looking at unique extinct grassphoper from the family #elcanidae , these grasshoppers are only found in burmese amber. 99milion years ago elcanidae was very diverse and enigmatic group of orthopterans. And is something more special about this speciman, i did share picture of this specimen with expert of orthopterans and he confirmed that this individual is a new species! He confirmed that by looking at his arragement and morphology of the metatibial spurs (the legs). So now he will compare it to few other similar species and i will send this piece for him to study and do scientifict paper on it! Isnt this hella exciting?😁

Adult cockroach from last video was identified as Holocompsinae - family Corydiidae by Carsten Grohn (famous baltic amber insects scientist). And its quite rare! Now i feel even luckier😁

Whoever wondered if these hymenopteras were ants or wasps - i finally have an ansver😁, its ants! A kind of Poneromorph genus. And thats awesome i love ants! And who you though they was? Let me know in the comments:)
