Ngayon po ay Kapistahan ng Pagbibinyag sa Panginoon.
Madirinig natin sa unang pagbasa mula sa aklat ni propeta Isaias ang padating na sugo ng Diyos na may dakilang misyon. Bibigyan siya ng kapangyarihan upang pairalin ang katarungan, makipagtipan sa lahat ng tao at magdala ng liwanag sa lahat ng bansa. Gayundin naman sa Mabuting Balita ayon kay San Marcos ay matutunghayan natin ang katuparan ng hulang ito- naparito nga ang Lingkod ng Panginoon. Bininyagan si Hesus, bumaba sa kanya ang Espiritu sa anyo ng kalapati at kapagdaka’y narinig ang tinig mula sa langit: “Ikaw ang minamahal kong Anak, lubos kitang kinalulugdan.”
