One of the most common collab requests I get is with Nick Sawyer. Well.. we may not be building something together but I did interview him.
Parts of the interview will be shown in my next YouTube video in December but if you're interested you can watch the whole hour on Patreon now. Check it out - bit.ly/4mI41q8

This is where it begins to get complicated. These are the legs to my dining table and they're designed to fit into the top. More to come

I mentioned in a previous post that I've been designing and building a dining table inspired by 10 interviews I recorded with 10 of the worlds finest furniture designers. 8 of the 10 interviews have already been released on Patreon. The first was with Philip Morley whose insight into design was incredibly helpful
You can watch the previews to all the current interviews with the link below and if you want to watch them all in full it only costs $10 USD for the month. Plus you get access to over 300 other videos including 10 videos all about my dining table build so far. Not bad value if you ask me.

There were a few different joinery options for the rail system for the Dining Table but Mortise & Tenons were the clear winner

If you don't follow me on Patreon or Instagram then you probably don't know that I'm well underway on my latest build. It's a dining table thats been inspired 10 interviews that I recorded with 10 of the best furniture designers out there.
I've taken their insights into design and incorporated them into my own build. And Ive just realised I should also be sharing some of those photos here.
The top is a split top design made from Figured Tasmanian Oak slabs. And yes, thats the only epoxy you'll see in this river table 😂

If you could ask your favourite furniture designer one question, what would it be?
Let me know in the comments.
This will all make sense in a future video.
Also, a big thank you to everyone who answered my last question
