Going for fitness goals and weight loss in peri-menopause and in my early 50's.
Started running age 45 in January 2018, since then I have completed 5 marathon distances (first one was Virtual London Marathon in October 2020 and last one was Paris Marathon in April 2024). I incorporate strength training and am a Peloton bike newbie. My marathon PB is 5hrs 14.
I have been plagued by injuries the last 2 years and had 10 months struggling with plantar facilitis. Started HRT in May 2024, have seen huge benefits will cover this topic in my journey. I need to lose a stone to have a BMI of 25, by March 2025!!!
Goals for 2025 - I would like a marathon PB, I have a place in London Marathon 27 April 2025, Edinburgh Marathon 25 May 2025 and Serpentine Trail 50k (first ultra) 5 July 2025. As well as some shorter races lined up that I will cover such as Ryde 10 on the Isle of Wight and Bath Half. Follow my journey...
