Our mind is powerful, it creates our reality and dictates our experience. The problem is, our mind is untrained, chaotic and leads us down daily rabbit holes. We are living at the mercy of the process of our minds wandering. The good news is that we have a way of understanding and training the mind. This way is called Mindfulness. The act of paying close attention to your moment to moment experience, intentionally, brings the mind back to the present moment. Away from ruminating on the past or projecting into the future. We become the master of our mind, not a slave to it.
“A trained mind leads to happiness” - The Buddha
In Mindfulness we establish the practice of noticing emotions, moods, the quality of our thoughts and learn to hold all of our humanness in a compassionate way. This is the path to liberation, the path to true peace and satisfaction, the way out of suffering.
