If you're interested in what is happening to me personally then please read on, otherwise TL; DR is videos and streams are going to be very shaky for a while.
There are both good news and bad news. Let's start with the good news - on Monday I will be traveling off to New York with kiddo for a short (but a long-planned) vacation. This means I will not be able to make any videos or stream while away.
Now to the bad news and sadly, the bad news is very bad.
A few weeks back, we had some very weird electrical fault in the house. We had an on-call electrician come by, and he traced it to our heat pump being entirely messed up, and shut it off to get our electricity to work fine again. So the last few weeks we've had no hot water and had to heat the house with some quite noisy fan heaters.
While checking the capacity of the old system, we realized the previous owners have put the exterior unit in a place where you're not supposed to have them, and placing the replacement there would void the warranty of the unit.
So we need a new placement which means pulling new connecting pipes through a couple of rooms which need to be cleared out. One part of this is that the whole thing is going to be extremely expensive, which isn't very fun... the other is that clearing out those rooms is a huge amount of work, which now has to be done in only the few days before I leave and after I come back... so I will have very little time for video or streaming.
And here's the kicker: my studio is one of the rooms. So I will basically be deconstructing my studio very soon (like tomorrow). I am not entirely sure what this means - I'll try to finish videos for 24w13a, but I can't really guarantee the tech videos will be done in time. It is quite likely I will need to cancel all streams for a while.
Hi everyone! I’ve been knocked out in a fever for the last 4 days. That means I won’t be making a snapshot video for 24w05a today. I’ll make one once I’m feeling better again, but I don’t really know when that will happen.
There’s a new Release Candidate out, but I’m away traveling this weekend. Video will be up on Sunday at the earliest.
