Update to the package theft! You can see footage of what happened at the beginning of the video but to sum up:
The order was delivered well before the original date set by FedEx.
Apple did not require signature confirmation.
Apple didn't send the usual "your package is out for delivery" because FedEx was indeed supposed to deliver it the next day.
I recommend y'all get your packages re-directed to your local post office to avoid anything like this (if you buy from Apple online here in the US)
Check your tracking every day and do have a camera to keep an eye on your packages!
The two women involved in the robbery did get away but the police have every single detail about them.
They were following the delivery trucks and quickly taking them shortly after seeing that nobody had opened the door.
The good thing is, they will most likely be caught since it stirred up quite a lot of people here in Austin. I also recommend doing in-store pickup at the Apple Store if that's an option.
MacBook was stolen off my porch 15 minutes after fedex unexpectedly dropped it off. Full story coming in the video of the MacBook tonight. I was able to drive around town and find the car that stole it. Unfortunately I had to chase them a bit before they gave up and tossed my MacBook on a sidewalk. Police and everything were involved but they got away. If you are getting anything from Apple... make sure to not trust the delivery date! Mine was supposed to deliver on Thursday and it was suddenly delivered on Monday.
Made some wallpapers based on Apple's November Event invite! They are 5K and look pretty sweet on laptops/desktops! Work well on phones too especially if rotated or zoomed in on!
