The Dracula gamebook (by Jonathan Green), that I plan to stream tonight, vs. the original Bram Stoker novel. It's huge!

It's funny how I'll search for Video Power around once a year (actually three times per day, but don't tell anyone) and sometimes a preteen me turns up.

"Haque" (played on last night's stream) seems like a pretty neat modern Roguelike. I had fun exploring it for the first time, and I'd be into playing that again for sure. Thanks to all who watched and chatted!

I was going to say, "Woohoo, the channel is at 400 subs!!" But then it went down to 399! And Youtube says 398 in a different view. So maybe I'll wait to give that a "woohoo" when it's at about 405 to be more certain. š
But 500 is - totally arbitrarily - a number more worthy celebrating, so perhaps a special stream is in order for that magic number!

The Old GoaT (Old Games on a Thursday stream) likely won't happen tonight (March 7) due to life duties! There's a chance I might stream some lighter old games (i.e. not Ultima IV) for a short time later in the evening, but we shall see!

The continuation of our Tunnels and Trolls attempts on the City of Terror are postponed until next week. See you then!

Happy 58th birthday to Blanka, who incidentally is the Street Fighter 2 character I'm closest to in terms of height and weight. Though I like to think I have better posture, and better teeth.

A fact that is totally meaningless but I find it cool nonetheless...I had a shower realization that if you do something like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon but with book credits instead of movies, I'm only two degrees away from Peter Laird, one of the original creators of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comics!
I think this means Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael are, like, my second cousins once removed?

If you were on a game show and were asked the question: "What was the first video game produced by a major game company to feature a female character named Zelda, who needs to be rescued by the player?"
There's only one extremely obvious answer, right?
You might hear a loud BZZZT if you said THAT answer. (Read the small, white text in the image for this 1982 game!)

Gaming in both electronic and dead-tree forms! I'm Mark W and I primarily run the channel, but sometimes my son "Rob Bob" joins in as co-host. We do both videos and live streams. I have a natural bent towards classics/retro/oldies, but that's certainly not all I'm into! I also have a leaning towards esoteric and underappreciated goodies.
Our not-rigidly-adhered to schedule:
SATURDAY NIGHT GAMING: Often streamed with Rob Bob, in these weekly streams pretty much anything goes! One week the subject could be a recent video game, the next an old one, and after that a board game or gamebook. Saturday nights at about 9:00pm Eastern Time. (Video games lean toward PC games in my Steam collection.)
OLD GAMES ON A WEEKDAY: Old school emulated video games typically played on a weeknight such as Tuesday or Wednesday, but I try to aim for 8:00 or 8:30pm Eastern Time.
Streams are very casual and all about the chat, hanging out and fun. Hope to see you there! :D
