The struggle is real o, my people... Caring for 5 kids, 6 yrs old and under after an International Relocation Move back to Nigeria without any help is not a small task o.
We came back to empty home as mostly all our family members have #Japa out of Nigeria.
But first of all, the organic heirloom produce we found in Nigeria is making us so happy! It's exciting to find some live thriving bugs in our produce... This is the meaning of true organic.
We've been on survival mode since we arrived in order to take care of ourselves and the basics...prepping food, getting some basic house things in the place we'll be staying and digging through the luggages to find clothes for us. ๐
The kiddos have grown by a few inches in the past few months and the clothes we brought from Uganda are too short on them now, and are thick/long sleeves appropriate for Ugandan cooler weather, so kiddos have been sweating like kรญlodรฉ since arriving...We'll be needing to get some summer clothes for them.
International Relocation is always messy at first until you learn the ropes... We're working on Pablo's Immigration Status as a #Naija Husband (foreign husband of a Nigerian woman) which is not as common or as easy as #NaijaWife (Foreign wife of a Nigerian man).
Pablo will be talking about his experience in a vlog soon.
Please be patient with us as we take time to roll out vlogs while settling down. ๐

See our sister channel, @PABLANUSKITCHEN , where tradition meets healthy innovation! In todayโs episode, we show you how to make **SOS-Free Fried Rice** paired with oil-free, fry-pan roasted plantains. Imagine the rich flavors of West Africa reimagined into a vibrant, guilt-free feast perfect for any table.
Our SOS-Free Fried Rice recipe is a celebration of wholesome ingredients and bold spices. Featuring brown rice, greens, and fresh veggies like carrots, onions, and peas, we elevate the dish with flavorful additions like garlic, habanero pepper, mushrooms, and fermented locust beans. A hint of curry powder, turmeric, and fresh lemon juice ties it all together for a truly mouthwatering experience. And if you can find ishapa (white roselle), youโre in for a special twist!
To complement the fried rice, weโve created crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside roasted plantainsโall without a drop of oil. Healthy cooking has never been so satisfying!
Whether you're a health enthusiast, a fan of plant-based meals, or just curious about exploring SOS-Free (Salt, Oil, Sugar) cooking, this recipe will transform your approach to traditional dishes. Don't forget to subscribe, like, and share to join the PABLANU'S KITCHEN family, where every dish is a journey of flavor, culture, and health.
