I started backpacking again a few years ago to escape the noise of the city and salve the accumulated stress that modern urban life backlogs in each one of us.
The mountains became a weekend refuge from traffic, professional tribulations, financial hurdles, and stifling bureaucracy.
The deeper I went into the forest the better I felt. Everywhere where there was water on the map was worth visiting, trail or no trail.
