Just had someone comment on my newest video saying this: "As a Youtuber you aren't affecting really music history that much." I responded by bringing up the fact that I believe us "mere Youtubers" helped keep guitar alive and well during the pandemic nightmare period and that is surely a mark in history. Not patting myself on the back but for real, record numbers of people tuned in between 2020 and 2023 exploding our channels and personally I have record number of Art of Guitar website members now ever since. I don't usually take things personally but good lawd! I had to say something.

Holy s#*t! 12,000+ comments on one video? Who knew Ringo would stir people up like this. 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvIBr... watch video on watch page

Saw this musician performing onstage who played ALL the instruments. He had these synths connected via MIDI and would get a cool loop going, then he'd jump onto the drum kit to rock a beat while singing. A true one-man band. Back then I was new to the music scene and thought, "Wow, what a genius!" now, after decades in the scene I think, "He's either just tired of dealing with flaky musicians, or he's a total dick who can't keep bandmates from quitting." 🤣

Had some people message me asking if I’m getting enough sleep after they saw my newest video. My friend had brought me out to a fancy birthday dinner (which included red wine) just before I recorded it, and yes I was a bit disheveled. Lesson learned: Next time record the day after. 🤣🤣🤣 https://youtu.be/aI2YDmrIFSk?si=z7Wvi... watch video on watch page

Good lord folks! Guthrie Govan (the king of guitar improv) breaks a string during his Hanz Zimmer performance with a FLOATING BRIDGE! If you know, you know the nightmare that creates. What does he do? Grabs a slide and still pulls off the magic. Most would have folded, Guthrie shines. Wow! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUCk9... watch video on watch page

Took three takes to finally get the dialog for my new video done. Doesn't sound like much but each take was nearly 30-minutes long. The hardest part (since I don't read off a script) is neglecting to say something important because I thought I already did, but it was actually two takes ago. Really messes with your head. That's why if I can't get it after three takes I just say screw it and try again the next day. 🤣
