Happy belated National Simp Day! Due to a family emergency and scheduling conflicts with the streamer featured in the next simp song, the release has been pushed back a couple weeks. Itās looking like the 27th/28th this month will be when āEMI PLZ! X3ā finally comes out. Itās a very different song about a creator named Emiru! Iām stoked for everyone to hear it, so get hype! Itāll be here before you know it š

I owe an explanationā¦
Last Saturday, June 3rd, National Simp Day, I posted a music video for an acoustic mashup of the first three Simpcore songs ever. Normally on that day I would release a brand new song for a different streamer and at the start of this year thatās exactly what I was going to do.
However, in early February my iMac died and I experienced several hard drive failures which resulted in the loss of a different song I was planning to release very close after āSimpcore 4ā. Even professional data recovery services were unable to get it back, meaning I would have to remake the whole thing if I still wanted to put it out.
It cost a lot of time and money just to get my music rig functioning normally again, so I got a side job to help me get back on my feet. I spent a lot of time working there instead of on music because, tbh, I was making decent money over that short period of time. Then one day a crazy person in a stolen vehicle ran a red light fleeing from the police and totaled the car I got a couple months ago.
Separately but related, the streamer I was planning to dedicate the next simpcore song to was out of the country on June 3rd so either way, the timing just wasnāt meant to be.
I put out an acoustic mashup because I anticipated that I would have to postpone Simpcore 4ās release this year, and I didnāt want to leave everyone hanging completely. I always wanted to do something like this and celebrate the previous works anyway, but not being able to deliver a new song still sucks.
At this moment the new song doesnāt exist yet, but I do have several rather insane ideas.
They will take some time to execute, but Iām actually SO stoked of what I got cookinā
It may not come to fruition until Simp Day 2024, but maybe now Iāll actually be able to finish it in a comfortable amount of time and ensure it's even better than everything thatās come before it.
