It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 5 months since my whole life got flipped upside down. 🙃
Definitely didn’t begin the year thinking the big C was on my bingo card, but I guess life is full of surprises. Some good, some not so much. 😅
Ngl, it’s been tough. It has taken a toll on me physically and mentally.
It has been draining.
It has been painful.
It has been scary.
It has been eye opening.
But I’m getting through it and I’m doing ok. I’m over half way done with Chemo!
Yeah Chemo. I’ve learned a lot about the entire process that’s for sure. It really knocks you about. I seriously had no idea what I was in for.
Once Chemo is done at the end of August, I’ll have a bit of a break and then Radiotherapy will come next. But that’s a worry for another day!
Anywho, just wanted to give a little update and say that I’m doing ok. I’m loving Katie’s videos, they make me smile each and every time.
I’m here reading comments and trying to respond when I can! I miss the cake life a lot and can’t wait to get back in the kitchen full time again. Love you all and thanks for reading, following, watching, supporting.

Losing my hair has been the easiest part of my cancer “journey” so far. In saying that, it hasn’t been EASY. I’ve had long hair all my life and it still shocks me sometimes when I see my bald noggin in the mirror. But I’m finding ways to make it fun. I’ve got loads of hats and beanies, (yay for winter!) but also WIGS! For anyone saying “forget wigs! Embrace the bald!” I just want to say that I totally get it. I AM embracing the bald! But also WIGS ARE SO FUN. In 5 seconds I have a whole new look! I think it’s so important in times like these to find fun and joy wherever you can. And the feeling of going out for dinner with a new hair do, feeling so nice and fancy after a long time feeling so sick and awful…it’s everything! 🩷

✨TIGGA UPDATE!✨
Okie dokie. Today I had my first round of Chemo.
It was a scary day. All the unknown. I was TERRIFIED. When I arrived, the nurses made me feel so welcome, reassured me. Made me feel safe.
I did have a mild reaction to the first drug (which is common but was still a bit scary!) but the nurses sorted it quickly and all went smoothly after that. I can’t say it enough- All the nurses are so amazing. I felt very well looked after here at Frankston.
My wonderful Hubby came with me to hold my hand. My absolute 🪨
For anyone wondering why I haven’t started chemo until now, it’s because after surgery I went straight into 2 rounds of fertility preservation. Egg freezing. (Chemo ain’t kind to the reproductive system) and yeah wow. I had no idea it was gonna be so tough!! Big eye opener. 😅 But glad that’s all done and now onto the next!
Hoping the next few months of treatment go smoothly. I’ll be popping in to do some vids whenever I feel up for it. Miss it so much!
Also- I’ll probably be rocking a wig or some cool head wraps pretty soon!
If anyone has any amazing WIG SHOP recommendations here in Melb hit me up! would love to be able to try some on in person.

NAME THE CAKE! 😂
Earlier in the week we did a LIVE and created this MASTERPIECE! 🤣 It was a tag team challenge, so every 2 minutes me and Katie swapped decorating. It was quite chaotic and I’m actually obsessed with the end result! It was such a fun LIVE so we want to get ideas on what our next LIVE should be!

Just wanted to give my Baz a moment in the spotlight as I haven’t shared much about him on here and he is such a huge part of my life.
Bazzy is my gorgeous 10 year old fur baby- he’s French Bulldog X English Staffy for anyone wondering his breed.
Every day he makes me laugh. He’s so silly. So playful. So clever. So affectionate and cuddly. I just love him to absolute bits! I thank my lucky stars every day that we found each other. 🐶🩷

CHRISTMAS DAY 2024!
After trying 24 different pavlova toppings in the countdown to Christmas, I STILL ended up making a traditional pavlova for our Christmas lunch. I did add mango this time though and I’m so glad I did!! Perfection!
There were a few reasons for choosing traditional:
1- it’s a classic.
2- It’s bloody delish!
3- It’s super quick to throw together
4- It’s going to please everyone at the table!
Also: So many people asked me if I was sick of eating Pavlova after doing the PAVMAS countdown and honestly…I wasn’t! I still had a generous serving and then went back for seconds! 🩷 BIG MOUTHFULS ONLY!
