Chitra Soundar is an award-winning author of over 60 books for children. She also writes for the stage, TV and audio. Chitra is an advocate for reading for pleasure, inclusive storytelling and opening the door to imagination. Many of her books are inspired by Hindu epics, culture and folktales from around the world.
Chitra visits schools and libraries across the world, to create stories and inspiring children to read, write and tell their own stories. Since 2015, she has run over a 1000 school workshops and has visited schools in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, India, the USA and more. Her workshops are interactive and fun and inspires children to get reading and writing.
