I'm Austin. Music - neuroscience - gaming, in that order. Welcome!
Music:
I was trained as a classical violinist starting from the age of 5. Since then, I've picked up the guitar, drums, digital production, theremin, and synthesizers.
The theremin is one of the earliest digital instruments, and is an instrument you can play without touching! Your left hand controls the volume - the dynamics, staccato, and tempo depend on the left hand. The right hand controls the pitch - the closer you get to the vertical antenna, the higher the pitch. Once set up, I get about 3 full octaves with the instrument.
I play on a Moog Etherwave Standard. I also pass the signal through pedals and effects filters.
The synthesizers I have been playing the most are the Pocket Operator by Teenage Engineering. I do covers and write original music.
I love music of all sorts. Classical and Baroque music, Video game soundtracks, Pop music - it's all fair game!
