Bengal in-houses a treasure trove of recipes not only for it's non veg sections like fish, meat etc., but it also has to offer a plethora of signature veg dishes prepped from commonly available stuffs like bananaflower(Mocha), bananastem(Thor), taro(Kochu), various leaves(Saag), various gourds like pointed/bottle/bitter (Potol/Lau/Karela) and many more to add on.
Unfortunately, these veg dishes are fading away faster with time as it comes to younger generations, as we tend to choose fish/meat only when we think of good food or celebrating food.
Bengal's Culinary Journal hopes to put up more of this age old recipes along side the non-veg preps.
Also not to mention, Bengalis have a constant affair with sweets & desserts, so Bengal's Culinary Journal won't miss them out.
We will also bring up recipes of food which are not truly not Bengali by origin, but are now embraced & loved by people of Bengal with all their heart.
