Anxiety felt terrible for hurting Riley, betraying the old emotions, and ruining her own relationship with Fear.
She wishes them to forgive her and she wants to make up for it by righting her wrong by undoing her poor decisions she made.
Fear at first wasn't sure about having Anxiety to be his date; but he reluctantly agreed to take her out for dinner only to have her back and to make sure she doesn't hurt Riley again.
And also they are two scared emotions who both have in common.
