Nearly a year ago, I uploaded a video covering the torpedo damage and secondary explosion on Lusitania. It was removed following a copyright claim. I acknowledged my wrong doing and devoted myself to reimagining how the video could be made without repeating my previous errors. Skip forward to now with a heavily revised video that I uploaded yesterday and the same happens again from the same claimant (whose privacy I will honor out of respect). This time, I used no imagery or quotes from the article the claimant participated in AND I linked the article in the comments for people to view independently, yet they still hop on the strike system, completely skipping 'fair use' as a concept. My options are to contact the claimant, which I think is a useless option by this point, or counter claim, which is a legal process. As for that, I can't say I wish to add that burden to my life over a video. Like last time, I'll just let the strike ride out. The difference this time will be that I'm not going to reproduce the video. I'm going to fly clear of the subject moving forward just so this claimant stays away.

Side message for the claimant, well done at trying to hinder the ability for what I consider revolutionary evidence from being circulated. I find it funny how not using anything from the article except quickly mentioning the 2 highlights from it then linking the article for people to read wasn't enough for your ego. It looks even worse when you realize that the brief mention of the finds wasn't a focus of the video or consider that those mentions consisted of mere seconds out of a 17 minute production. What is the purpose of finding evidence if you don't wish for anyone with a casual interest to see it? It's counter productive. Regardless, to place both of our minds at ease, I'll back off the topic as far as the channel is concerned. Regardless of our different perceptions, I wish you and your collaborators the best moving forward and hope you complete your future goals.

I'm aware that copywriting laws from nation to nation are different, and it's difficult for YouTube to balance them. It's a task I personally would not like to partake in. History and its corresponding evidence is to be shared to help people understand events, otherwise we lose the sole purpose of our field, professional or not. The United States has an understanding of this and created 'fair use' with a partial intention of protecting historians or enthusiasts while discussing events online. I'm not the originator of evidence, and I never claim to be. The people of the past are, the events of the past are. No one today is. My purpose is to help people today access a convenient source to collect both my interpretation of the evidence along with providing the evidence for viewers to observe themselves.

For those who watched the video, it received much gratitude. I'm pleased that a roughly combined total of 2,000 viewers had the opportunity to observe a complex, overlooked, and poorly understood topic. For that, I am grateful that you now have a deeper understanding of an obscure piece of Lusitania history. Unfortunately , moving forward, I shall not retouch it.

Thank you for your continuing support and I'll be back with another video in a couple of days.

Hello everyone,
I'm just giving a quick update. I've been dealing with a funeral for the past several days which is why I've been absent. Now that it's over, I'll be posting some videos in the next couple of days. I've got 3 nearly completed (Aquitania's final years, developing HMS Vanguard, and an HL Hunley miscellaneous topic) with a 4th partial (the previously mentioned Sunda Strait). I thank you for your patience and hope everyone is well.

Edit: Do to obtaing more sources, this topic has become delayed.

The next video will be the battle of sunda strait. Two allied cruisers sailed into an unknown force of Japanese ships. What happened was quite chaotic.

The next video will be slightly different as I will cover the development of both the Aoba and Myoko classes. The reason for covering both in one video will be made apparent during the video.

For the next video, we will explore France's 1912 building program. This ambitious plan was supposed to make the French Navy a powerful force in the dreadnought era.

The next video will be a continuation in the wreck series with the Bismarck. It's a bit longer than normal due to information cross checking, but an eye opening story to the evolution of information collected over 2 decades.

I've returned from my yearly trip to Harpers Ferry. I'll have the submarine video out today and an Operation Ten Go special for tomorrow.

For the next video, we will look at the time a Japanese submarine bombarded the US mainland.
