We’re packing up and heading to the beach for a long weekend—Friday through Monday—in our trusty Nissan X-Trail e-POWER Tekna. 🌞
With the amazing weather forecast, we’re all set for some epic beach time on Sunday and Monday. Inspired by the “man in the van” with his fantastic new 2024 Interstar, I’ve got my own plans for building the ultimate sandcastle with my two boys. 🏰👷♂️ (may need to zoom🔎 in to see his plans)

**Nissan ARIYA Named Best Car for Long Distances at AutoTrader New Car Awards**
The Nissan ARIYA, available to test-drive and purchase at Nissan Birmingham, has been named the UK’s Best Car for Long Distances at the AutoTrader New Car Awards 2024!
Unlike other automotive awards, the winners of the Auto Trader New Car Awards are decided by the people whose opinions matter most: car owners. This year, over 200,000 UK car owners shared their real-world experiences in an online survey, determining the winners.
The Nissan ARIYA's recognition is the latest in a series of awards for this all-electric coupe crossover, which boasts a range of up to 330 miles. It has also been recognized by the Caravan and Motorhome Club, Company Car & Van, and The Car Expert, and is a former Auto Express Car of the Year.

Pre-orders are now open for the diesel variant of Nissan’s all-new Interstar, the latest and most advanced iteration of the brand’s largest LCV. In addition to a wide range of new safety technologies and convenience features, the brand’s newest model offers increased size and versatility compared to its predecessor, so it can be tailored to be as unique as the customers it serves.
Your van, your way
The all-new Interstar diesel van is available in Acenta and Tekna trim levels. Acenta is designed to meet customers’ everyday needs and includes manual air-conditioning, while Tekna adds a raft of useful upgrades for a nominal price uplift of £1,200 + VAT, including:

• Front parking sensors and flank protection
• 270-degree opening rear doors

Tailored to meet the diverse and specific needs of businesses of all shapes and sizes, the all-new Nissan Interstar prioritises efficiency, maximum capability and customer well-being. With an exterior design that exudes the feeling of a full-size truck, its assertive front grille enhances the Interstar’s commanding presence. And with a focus on delivering practicality and power, Nissan’s newest LCV stands as the epitome of reliability and strength for everyday businesses on the move.
All-new Interstar enters the market with a wide range of factory-built conversions, including tipper, drop-side and box van options, as well as multiple panel van variants – so whether customers need maximum cargo volume, long distance driving capability, extra passenger room or heavy-duty hauling, all-new Interstar has them covered with L2H2, L3H2 and L3H3 variants.
Nissan’s newest LCV is available with a 2.0l single variable turbo engine in a range of tunes offering power outputs from 105PS to 170PS, torque outputs from 330Nm to 380Nm, and a WLTP fuel consumption figure of up to 37.8mpg (and as high as 41.5mpg for N2 versions). It also offers serious payload competitiveness of up to almost two tonnes for the diesel variant, and – like the upcoming electric version – a maximum towing capacity of 2500kg, making it ideal for businesses that need to carry or tow heavy duty cargo.
The vehicle’s revamped interior also sets it apart from previous generations. Designed to offer car-like comfort and convenience, the steering wheel is more vertical than its predecessor and the sculpted dashboard features a 10.1in touchscreen angled towards the driver to make it easier to read and use. There are two large cup holders, large overhead shelves and 10 open storage areas, plus another three closed areas that together offer nearly 80 litres of stowage space, including a multipurpose central seat-back workspace unit and a large under-seat storage box.
Manoeuvrability is also greatly improved, with a turning circle that is a full 1.5 metres smaller compared to previous versions, making navigating narrow urban streets simpler and without compromising load carrying ability.
Safety at work and safety on the road
As with all Nissan vehicles, customer safety and wellbeing is a priority. All-new Interstar is equipped with a wide range of standard safety features, including Forward Emergency Braking, Drowsiness Warning and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
Our innovative one-box braking system also ensures that braking power is always optimised, regardless of how heavy the vehicle is. Additionally, Interstar’s reaction time for emergency braking is halved over previous generation models, giving drivers even greater peace-of-mind.
An improved array of Advanced Driver Assistance technologies is included as standard, such as Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Speed Assistance, Intelligent Emergency Braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection and Side Wind Assist.
As Nissan continues to power forward to a cleaner, safer, more inclusive world – including fully electrifying our LCV line-up from 2026 – all-new Interstar represents a crucial step on our journey, as we revamp an iconic LCV to suit the needs of the UK’s everyday heroes.
