The Bible is a collection of 66 books composed over roughly 1600 years by about 40 authors in three languages on three distinct continents. The Bible asserts to be entirely accurate and inspired by God (without error). It is the only authentic and trustworthy piece of writing still in existence. It contains a revelation of God's mind, man's condition, the path to salvation, the punishment of sinners, and the joy of believers within its living pages. Its beliefs are sacred, its rules are lawful, its narratives are accurate, and its judgments are unchangeable.
The Bible offers us guidance, live water to satisfy our thirst, and consolation to lift our spirits when we are down. Everything is focused on Jesus Christ, who is the big subject of it all. The Bible is the story of how God intervened in human history to fulfill his prophecies concerning Jesus. It also tells the story of how God's Word, Jesus Christ, freely provided a path for God and humanity to be reconciled.
