Happy new year to all of you! ๐๐ May you only read the best novels in human existence! Which novel(s) do you finally want to tackle in 2024?
As 2023 draws to a close, I've now decided on my top three novels that I read this year. Funnily enough, they are all from the 20th century. 1. Isabel Allende - The House of the Spirits, 2. Milan Kundera - The Unbearable Lightness of Being, 3. Arundhati Roy - The God of Small Things. What were your favourites this year? Let me know below.
My dear subscribers, I need your help. I'm on a quest to read a book from every country in the world and I need some suggestions to fill in the blanks on the map below (preferably literary fiction and/or classics). An explanation for the colours in this map: green = have read, yellow = on my bookshelf, pink = on my shopping list, white = haven't found anything yet or haven't looked yet. So, if you have any suggestions for all the countries that are still white, I would be very grateful! (Excuse the awkward formatting of the map, YouTube doesn't allow wide images on the community tab ๐ซ ).
And before I forget: It should at least be translated to English (or German).
Do you want to learn a bit about identity, existence and humanity? Then check out my newest video on Patrick Sรผskind's novel "The Perfume"!
Which one out of these is your favourite Jane Austen novel? (I can only add four options, let me know in the comments, if your favourite isn't in the list)
Hi, I make video essays about literature because literature is fun. Fun indeed.
