We are an independent educational charity based in Theology and Religious Studies at King's College London providing information about minority religions and sects which is as accurate, up-to-date and as evidence-based as possible.
We exist to prevent harm based on misinformation about minority religions and sects by bringing the insights and methods of academic research into the public domain.
We were founded in 1988 by Professor Eileen Barker at the London School of Economics and Political Science with a grant from the UK Home Office; we moved to King's College London in 2018.
