in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
I did the Peak Voltage Adapter circuit diagram, so here it is, along with a photo of a completed board and another one of where the positive track is broken under the diode. If you've never done anything with electronics before, the diode has a grey band around one end and that has to go towards the positive lead, and capacitors are also "handed" so the long leg of the capacitor needs to go in the positive track, there's usually a marking on the body too. The resistor just goes in across the tracks no worries about orientation. First pic is the circuit diagram, second is the completed board, last one just shows how the track under the diode was broken with the drill bit. I did the one next to it just so that if my soldering was a bit messy, there was less chance of anything untoward happening.

Well, its been a while...
I am doing stuff, but it's not always stuff that makes a video, let alone a good one. The GT550 frame is still on the bench waiting for me to find the time/energy/enthusiasm to finish up the other side of the frame. I'm in the middle of wiring something, and I've been videoing that, but reviewing the footage, its not looking good. But on the other hand I'm waiting on an E-bay digital speedo for it, so a video on wiring one of those in may be on the cards. He said, bearing in mind it's not even here yet.
That aside, if you're a regular, then thanks for bearing with me. It's appreciated.

That recent Short? Well, continuing the tradition of ruining perfectly good motorcycles, I did some stuff to May's CBR600 to make it a bit more likely to survive a trip to the beach. I got some video of it, and some stills so maybe enough to knock up a slideshow of the process so watch this space. In the mean time there's another GT550 video so you can watch that if you're not going watch this space and here's a before and after of the CBR. :-)

If you were wondering what all the AI stuff was about, well basically I had a cold and trying to read the script (yes, I wrote a script...) wasn't going well between the "stuffed ub dose" and the sneezing and after four hours, I hadn't made any progress with that. So I dug around a little and found a text to speech AI thingy which got all the voice over done under an hour. Couple of people I know have said that they liked it, and the videos seem to be doing better than the ones with me in them. So thanks for that... :-)
I guess they're basically videos about the theory of bike building rather than the practical aspects? Cant really see making practical videos using an AI voice, but I thought I'd have a poll on how you guys felt about more of that kind of theory stuff in the same format? For instance I've had a bit of mail on the subject of reg/recs, so I'm thinking about a video on them? Anyway here's a poll.

There's a new video up. For some reason I found it really hard to edit, and this PC was struggling a bit too. Still, it's done now, and the Kwacker is looking significantly different. Forgot to put in a view of where I'd more or less got to at the end of the video, so there's one below.

Ok, so there was a poll and most of you wanted to see something being wired? Well there are a few things about the place that need wiring, but they all have some quirk that makes them a little odd. So, despite the passage of time, I've bought a GT550 Kwacker that has pretty normal wiring. Although it does actually have wiring as opposed to being in need of some. The plan then is to rip it apart, hack it about, weld it up, throw some paint at it, and by that point, it will need wiring. I'm working on the first video at the moment. Mainly because it's raining and I stayed home.
In other news, there's now a Patreon page if you feel you'd like to contribute something in the hope of making this a bit more regular than it has been or if a monthly sub isn't your thing but you still want to help out there's a paypal link on the about page.

Apologies for the lack of videos over the last few months, but "I ran out of gas! I got a flat tire! I didn’t have change for cab fare! I lost my tux at the cleaners! I locked my keys in the car! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!" . Since I've got a bit of a back log to catch up with, I thought about having a poll to see what you guys and gals would like to see? So cast your vote, and lets see what's popular. Then I'll probably go and do something different, but hey, at least I went through the motions, right?

Welcome to Blackjack's. This is where I generate content that's mostly custom motorcycle based, or to put it another way I'm ruining perfectly good motorcycles as my Dad likes to call it. I'm going to be building things, I'll be doing some "how-to's", I'll be looking at some tools, and from time to time (once the sun's out and lockdown is over) maybe even a few bike videos.
Hang around, it's moderately interesting. :-)
