Have you ever wondered what the filament is made of in a light bulb? What is the material that's glowing and emitting light?

#nowyouknow

Tungsten is used because of 3 main reasons:
1) It has a high melting point, and so it can withstand the heat generated from the electric current without melting.
2) it's a hard & dense metal, so it's resistant to wear and tear.
3) It is an efficient conducting metal, so the emitted light is consistent and bright.
