Hi friends! The time feels right to do another Q&A video, it's been about a year since the last one, and timing feels right to do it again. Also spring weather is finally on the horizon which always encourages me to spend a bit longer in the garage at the lathe, so I think it'll be fun to just toss a piece of wood on there, make a vase or two or something, while answering some of your burning questions!

It's a big month over here (as you may have gleaned from some of my recent shorts, I'm getting married!) Things are hectic and busy but I'm thrilled and I've found a fun way to include some neat wood stuff into the wedding (see my bolo tie short AND ALSO I've learned how to silversmith).

Two questions I've been asked the most frequently on here are: 1) When's the next episode of the US Map Vol. 2? and 2) When are you getting more vases in stock?
I'm here with some answers! First: I've FINALLY finished filming all the footage for the latest map episode, losing Miles set me back a bit, had to take some time off filming and editing for a bit, but this map episode is easily my favorite yet, Mr. Miles makes an appearance in there (that's how long ago I filmed some parts), and I can't wait for you to see it! Stay tuned!

I’m devastated to share that the world lost one of the best ones yesterday. Just two weeks ago Miles had a vet checkup for his 13th birthday that showed just some minor arthritis but otherwise appearing to be as healthy as a senior dog could be.
So it was shocking and unexpected when yesterday he suddenly collapsed, and after rushing him to the emergency vet they found blood in his abdomen, were unable to stabilize him, and we had to say goodbye to my best friend and constant companion for the past thirteen years.
Obviously an understatement to say I’m heartbroken, but right now I’m mostly feeling grateful to have been able to share so many experiences and places with Mr. Miles both as a spry, energetic young pup and as a creaky, lovable senior dog. He saw me through some exceptional highs and lows over this past decade plus, and it sounds kinda trite but I sincerely don’t know how I would’ve made it through some of them without him by my side.
Miles had a special talent for charming even the most dog-averse people he met, and I’m happy I got to share him with so many of you these past few years, too.
I always say that it’s a cosmic injustice that dogs aren’t simply immortal until they very moment their person passes on, but the truth is our bonds with them are special because we get to share only short windows of our lives together.
I’ll have more to share and say about this special guy on here soon enough but for now please give yours an extra squeeze for us today. 🖤
