Comet C2023 a3, Lightning Strikes with Reflections 💜✅
Shooting this celestial event was a mix of excitement and patience. The clarity of the sky, the faint glow of the comet, and the wide horizon made it a perfect setup for a panorama shot. There’s something surreal about looking at a comet that only passes by once in a lifetime, and freezing that moment through my lens. Stay tuned for the final image reveal! Comet, Milkyway, Lightning, Reflections, Solo tree makes the composition so satisfying ✅
October 2024 has gifted us with Comet C/2023, a beacon lighting up our skies! I first tried to capture it in Ennore during the first week of the month, but I knew I could do better. So, on October 21st, my bois @bhava.nandhi , @m.thirunavukarasu , @dhekhandelwal , and I set out to capture the comet with the Milky Way and a lonely tree in the same frame. This composition was a dream, but we had to travel 100 km from home to make it happen. A big shout-out to @dineshphotography7797 for helping us find the perfect location. @sathya_narayanan_sridhar gave us bigger surprise making the adventure even more memorable.
As we set up our gear and worked on getting the shot just right, I was reminded of the good old days with Bhavanandi, when spontaneous trips for night sky photography were the norm.
This shot was truly a challenge, but it brought back some of my fondest memories as a photographer. More pictures from this adventure will be posted soon!

A few weeks ago, 7Artisans sent me their newly launched AF 50mm F1.8 for both E mount and Z mount. They sent me the mount version, so I'm testing it with Nikon Z6ii. This lens is surprisingly very good in many aspects.

I pointed my camera to the East 😱😱
Virgo is one of the 12 zodiac constellations, symbolizing a maiden often depicted holding an ear of wheat. Within Virgo lies one of the brightest stars in the night sky, Spica. Spica, also known as Alpha Virginis, is a binary star system located about 250 light-years away from Earth. It's a blue giant and shines with a luminosity over 2,000 times that of the Sun. Spica is significant not only for its brightness but also for its role in ancient astrology and navigation, being a key reference point for celestial navigation. In mythological contexts, Virgo is often associated with Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, which aligns well with the constellation's depiction of holding an ear of wheat, symbolizing fertility and harvest.
