I am very very sad to share this post…
We lost Alice @AliceandtheGiantBookshelf‬
Alice was an great friend which I connected a lot in both buddy reads and many social events. During our buddy reads, we shared a lot about life and loved ones and she very recently supported me in hard time during the last one.
It was a bad book but at least she said I made her laugh a lot with my rant…
Who am I gonna discuss a lesser known Agatha Christie book with 😔😔 And what about the engaging thriller book we were gonna buddy read this summer 🥲🥲

Book #8
The first book in Sam Wyndham Series by Abir Mukherjee. A buddy read with ‪@naomisbookshelf‬ and ‪@reddotreads2693‬
I loved how the period and the society in colonial India was portrayed in detail. Liked the main character and the mystery was decent.

2nd DNF of the year
I really could not stand "the post-modernist structure" of the book.

Book #6
Quite an enjoyful historical romance book. I really liked Charlotte and her natural charisma.

Book #5
Reading this book written in 1971 felt like reading a historical fiction book. If I had liked cars and races, I would probably like this book much more but still it was a decent read.

Book #4
This was a very interesting contemporary fiction book.

I loved all the main characters with their faults, anxieties and looking out for each other. Some of the plot points were extreme but the characters' reactions were realistic which made it OK for me most of the time.

Book #3
A very decent addition to the series. I liked the romance & family aspect of this book but it felt like longer than it needs to be. Another great buddy read with ‪@ZoeBeck7‬

First DNF of the year...

I really gave this novella a chance and read 20% but the "irreverent style" that the Goodreads synopsis states is really not my type of story telling.

Book #2
I quite enjoyed this spiritual redemption story. The idea for the plot is interesting and it works well with the characters. The writing style could have been better but it was fine overall.
This was an e-arc purchased from Net Galley.
