Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, she first learned piano at the age of 4 and was fronting a locally popular band within a matter of several years. She's been a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist since the age of 14, and was on the road to achieving her dreams by 17, when she signed her first record deal. Since then, she has been involved in six Grammy nominated projects, and a path in the music world that includes collaborations with artists like Sergio Mendes, the Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul, Ricky Martin, Franco De Vita and many more.
Her first single, released in 2004, the vibrant "One Rhythm," remixed by Ralphi Rosario, went to the top of the Billboard Dance Music/Club Play chart. Since then, she has released 3 albums: Luna Nueva (2010), Soy (2014), and Gran Ciudad (2017). The latter 2 earned her nominations at the Latin Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Singer-Songwriter album respectively.
