To all geoscience or environmental teachers of any grade level. I’m curious to find out which topic(s) do you enjoy teaching the most?

In my experience, collaboration with fellow teachers who teach Earth Science or Geoscience, can be invaluable when looking for ideas on lesson planning, topic structure, lab activities and methods of student assessment.

For any student teacher, new teacher or teaching geoscience or earth science for the first time, I would like to hear from YOU and see if I could help with anything?

Or we can collaborate as a broader geoscience community through this channel.

One of my favorite topics to teach is the Earth's interior which leads to crustal deformation, tectonics, volcanoes and earthquakes!

To create my units and lessons, I 'backwards plan' and organize using a scaffolding technique.

Let me know if you want me to make a video explaining my teaching techniques.

The news is covering the recent flooding in Texas; the rise in forest fires across the southwest & western states; the drop in water level in Lake Mead; and the increased frequency of extreme temps felt across the lower 48!
What is your take on these events?
