Over the years, I’ve pursued many paths and lately I’ve had some time to reflect on them all. Golf was my life for 10 years starting at 8, then came soccer. I settled for a championship win in a local hispanic league once I realized going pro in sports wasn’t for me.
Then along came journalism and photography — which is what I studied in college. I was fortunate to have a few big opportunities and moments with photojournalism. None were fulfilling once attained and that world is soul sucking.
At the same time I started a music magazine and booked my own events with some amazing turn outs and that seemed like the right path until the egos of other artists I was championing ruined it for me.
After abandoning some paths, I started focusing on myself and leaned on music — which had always been around but I never took it serious. That changed over the past couple years. I’ve always limited my abilities to do things in my life because I never had the money to do the things I wanted. I’m still heavily in debt with student loans, a credit card and my car but I’ve found ways to go after what I want with a full-time job on my plate.
Here I am now planning my second mini-tour to Europe and not breaking even on my investments but still creating some good outcomes. The hard work I’ve put into this new path has materialized into an opportunity take on a few gigs alongside a fellow dj in South Africa in early 2025.
I’m not one to ask for help, but the flights are double the cost and there’s only so little time to make it work before prices get higher. If you’re able and willing, I encourage you to donate to my GoFundMe to help keep my momentum going on this new path.
The money raised will be solely for the round trip flights from Nashville, Tennessee to Cape Town, South Africa. I have arrangements in place to cover my remaining expenses.

A few months have passed since my trip to London, but I’m excited to announce my appearance on @myanalogjournal will be releasing on May 5th.
This will also be my last vinyl-focused set for the foreseeable future. I'll still be uploading digital sets and mixing up the mediums as I see fit.
I had already booked a flight to Amsterdam and ended up booking another flight in the middle of my AMS trip to London just for this mix.
Special shoutout to the homie @gwndo.lyn who came with me to take the pressure of documenting everything off of my shoulders. Very grateful for her. And thank you to @miracolorfilms in France for letting us use their film to capture the trip.
Gwen and I were in London for less than 24 hours. We got in from Amsterdam the night before, recorded a mix at Cafe 1001 at 12 the next day and immediately went to the MAJ studio to record this mix at 2, took an uber to Heathrow, dropped the film off to be developed on the way there and had dinner waiting at the airport. And that was my birthday.
So keep a look out for this jazz funk/fusion mix and know a lot of effort, time and money went into curating/playing some songs on the interwebs.
