'SYNTHIENT' is the new collaborative alias for all songs composed and produced by Kayley Phelan (Kbob) and Aran Sheehy, two Irish electronic artists with a love for IDM and leftfield electronica in general. Drawing inspiration from 90's Warp Records legends such as Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, and Boards of Canada, 'B1-66ER' showcases the wide arsenal of skills and experience available at the disposal of Kbob and Aran. Upon beginning to collaborate on this song for the first time only a few weeks ago, it became clear that one song would just be the beginning of a long and fruitful musical partnership between Kayley and Aran, and indeed they intend to use this alias to push the boundaries of electronic music as it is known, and are currently working on a full length album they will be releasing in early 2025.
