ARKANSAS is up next in The US Explained and I'm really excited! I've been there, but I still need some help! If you're from Arkansas, it's your time to shine! Please reply to fill me in on what I need to know about your home state, such as unique food, traditions, places, some fun facts and local dialects and pronunciations! I can't promise everything will make it into the video, but I will try my best, and I'm looking forward to getting started!
Southern Californians! I'm currently in Los Angeles and would love to meet up with some fans. If you want to talk about what it's like to live in the state, I could use some cameos for the California episode. I'll be at Maguire Gardens in downtown LA from 11:00-11:30 AM tomorrow (March 1) if you want to swing by and say hello.
From the Keys to the Panhandle, I had a great time traveling, filming, and conducting interviews for the last week and a half in the beautiful state of Florida for the upcoming US Explained episode. Next up, I'm heading to Arizona, and I'd love some suggestions of places to visit and cover. I'll probably be hosting a channel meetup or two, so if you're from there, stay posted! I'm also just finishing up writing the Missouri episode, so it should be up in the next day or so.
South Floridians! I'm currently in Miami filming and would love to meet up with some fans. If you want to talk about what it's like to live in the state, I could use some cameos for the Florida episode. I'll be at Bayfront Park by the fountain from 4:00-4:30 today if you want to swing by and say hello.
Thank you, USVI 🇻🇮. I had a wonderful couple of days here in this beautiful territory, visiting all three main islands, and am grateful to everyone who shared their home with me. Looking forward to visiting Florida next, a new state for me!
Had a great time visiting Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 as the first stop on The US Explained Tour! On to the USVI!
The US Explained Tour is starting soon! If you want to stay updated on the tour or reach out about meeting me as I travel through the rest of the states and territories in the series, I've made a new channel Instagram that'll be great to follow - www.instagram.com/that_is_interesting.tii/
More videos are on the way! The Missouri episode and a Nation Explained on Iceland are both in the works

I'm excited to announce that I recently graduated from Macalester College with a degree in Geography. With this marks the end of my time living in the state of Minnesota, and the beginning of what will be a several months long tour of the remaining states and territories I have yet to cover in the US Explained, to do on-the-ground research, interview locals, and film on site to improve the quality of the series. The first places I'll be visiting (though not the next uploads as the series will continue by order of admission) will be Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Florida. If you live in or have spent time in any of those three, what are some locations I should add to my itinerary?
MISSOURI is up next in The US Explained and I'm excited! I've never been there, so Missourians, time to shine! Please reply to fill me in on what I need to know about your home state, such as unique food, traditions, places, some fun facts and local dialects and pronunciations! I can't promise everything will make it into the video, but I will try my best, and I'm looking forward to getting started!
My name is Carter and welcome to That Is Interesting. I believe that geography shapes the world we call home, that how people interact with the land they live in impacts their history, culture, politics, economics, and society. The world is a truly beautiful and fascinating place. Every little corner of it is interesting and unique in its own way. If you like maps, flags, enjoy learning about history, if you want to understand what truly makes a place - whether a town, city, region, state, or country, unique - this is the channel for you. It’s a geography channel in the sense that geography is key to understanding a place and what makes it tick. I make longer form videos with a specific focus on my home country, the United States. I’m probably best known for The US Explained, an ongoing 56-part series that takes a deep dive into every state, territory, and federal district that make up the United States. If any of this sounds interesting to you, subscribe and join me on this journey!
