I'd like to officially announce that the 5,000 Subscriber Medley I talked about earlier is going to be available on October 5th at 5PM MST/8PM ET! I apologize for not getting it ready by September, I completely underestimated how long this would take. However, it's done, and I'm excited to share it with you all! I will also be doing a Premiere for this, just for the occasion. Fair warning, though, it's the longest remix I've ever made up to this point, clocking in at about 37 minutes, so if you do plan on attending the Premiere be sure you have time to watch it. Hope to see you then!

First of all, thank you all so much for getting this channel up to 5000 subscribers! I appreciate you sticking around for this long. About 6 years ago, I hit 500 subscribers, and for the occasion I made a medley based on viewer comments. It was an interesting idea, but I didn't repeat it for my 1000 or 2500 subscriber special due to worries that I'd get overwhelmed. So naturally, now that I've got 5000 subscribers, I decided to throw caution into the wind and just go for it.
Here's how this is going to work. Starting today, I'm leaving this community post up for you to post what song you'd like for me to arrange into a medley in Famitracker! I don't exactly care if the genres match for the most part, because part of the point is for it to be a subscriber special. However, there are a couple of guidelines I'd like for you to follow:
- Only one song per viewer, please. I'd like for production on this medley to not take forever!
- Please try to avoid songs longer than 2 or 3 minutes. I will allow them, but please understand that I may not be able to incorporate the whole song into the medley.
- Anime music is allowed, but if it gets the video blocked in certain countries I will ask you to submit a backup song. I don't anticipate this being an issue, mind you, but I'm just covering my bases in case it comes up later.
- Only comments on this post will be accepted. Anything outside of that will be ignored.
Lastly, I'll be posting a poll to see which Famitracker expansion you prefer for this medley. The deadline for submissions and for the poll is August 21st, 5:00PM (MST). After that deadline, I will not be taking any more song submissions for the medley. As for when the medley will be posted, I'll try to have it out by September, but depending on how many viewers submit a song it may take longer. I'll make another Community Post announcing the release date when I am able.
Once again, thank you all for 5000 subscribers, and I can't wait to see what songs you submit (and how much work I'll have for this...)!

Just a heads up, starting with tomorrow's video I'll be posting videos at 5PM MST instead of 2PM MST. I'm doing this for a couple of reasons.
1. In the past they've been going up while I'm at work and I'd rather post these when I'm at home and can correct any weird errors that come up as they go up instead of having to wait until afterwards.
2. Tweetdeck is now behind Musk's paywall, and the last time I scheduled a video preview on Twitter outside of Tweetdeck it kept throwing errors; I'll trust that the schedule works *now*, but if it doesn't I'd like to tweet the video previews as the video goes up.
Videos will still be posted on Tuesdays and Fridays as per usual, but I hope the time change isn't an inconvenience.

In celebration of reaching 2,500 subscribers on YouTube, my Famitracker arrangement of Opera "Maria and Draco" from Final Fantasy VI will be going live on June 1st at 6PM MST! Since this is a fairly long remix, clocking in at over 20 minutes, I will also be doing a Premiere in case you wanted to chat live. This will be the last upload from me until around June 17th. I'm a composer/remixer who primarily works with Famitracker, though I frequently use other chiptune tools as well. I've previously worked on NEScape!, an NES homebrew game made by Kevin Hanley.
If you want to use stuff I make in your videos or content, please credit me when doing so - also drop me a link, I might be interested! Same goes with reuploads of my videos to other sites.
FYI: I am not currently accepting requests. I'll make a community post if and when I am looking for them. Along those lines, while I do have Super Thanks enabled I will ask that you don't use them as a way to commission remixes. I'll be setting up a commissions form closer to the start of 2025!
