Kantorei is an a cappella choral ensemble of 30- 40 voices based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul in Minnesota, USA. The ensemble pursues the highest standard of musical expression and artistry. Since its founding in 1988 by Axel Theimer – continued by current Artistic Director Adam Reinwald – Kantorei has become widely known for its stunning interpretations of a wide variety of choral music. Kantorei performs the great a cappella choral treasures and also specializes in seldom-heard 19th- and 20th-century compositions.
