@leAlexandria-EM Hmmm.... After 2 days and having my settings pretty much dialed in, it looks really good! But the off Angle viewing is AWFUL and that's barely off angle, like just slightly off center and it becomes almost completely drained of color saturation and unwatchable. Luckily I always watch TV from the center. But I wouldn't recommend it if you view off center. And the settings are VERY LIMITED. Which is frustrating. There are almost no picture controls for the Dolby Vision modes, nearly everything is grayed out. Luckily DV seems pretty good on this TV. But I hate not having options. And this has a supposed "AI Processing Pro Chip" but there are no separate settings for the "A.I. Controls" so that feels really fake. But I haven't seen anything that makes this an immediate return yet, so that's a good sign. I'm going to keep it for at least 30 days and see how it goes. While I'd love to get the G5 and can afford it, I would never be happy spending $5k on a TV, much less nearly $7k. Especially when this TV at $2k can get you 90 percent there. You just need to be willing to give up some things.

@MichelleAlexandria-Em Just wow. CES is a giant disappointment. No new TVs worth getting. Samsung is the new Sony and I just can't trust them. They are being Cagey as H about the 83-inch models. If it was a QD-OLED you can bet your last dollar they would scream it to the heavens, that it was an 83 inch QD-OLED. It is so freaking SLEAZY to purposefully LIE (worst case) or purposefully mislead (best case), about what you are selling consumers. And the influencers that are there aren't being honest about it. They are being just as cagey as Samsung "Well, Samsung won't tell us if it's QD-OLED, but we used our iPhones and yes it's an LG Panel, wink. wink." Just say it's not a QD-OLED! LG is once again pushing AI Crap on their TVs. Same marketing BS they did the last 5 yrs in a row and once again it won't work with Copyrighted Content. So their whole AI stuff has been a LIE for 5 yrs. TCL is only showing off their 2 lowest end TVs the Q6 and Q7.
At this point I'm leaning towards keeping my G4, I got it for a great price and it's been flawless once I dialed in the picture. Out of the box it's HORRIBLE, I don't know what the heck these influencers are smoking when they claim the G4 looks amazing out of the box. It doesn't! My problem is, While, I got it for an amazing price, I still can't justify a $4,800 TV when my S90c works perfectly fine. And while I love the PQ on the G4, it just doesn't "Wow" me. But it is an incredibly consistent TV where everything just works almost flawlessly. No issues with audio, hdmi switching, no crashes, no motion issues, nothing. It just works and for that reason alone I'm leaning towards keeping it. If I didn't have a perfectly fine S90c and had a need for it, I'd have no issues paying $5k for a TV, but I just can't justify it. I guess I'm not the "baller" I pretend to be. LOL.

@MichelleAlexandria-EM Update - LG C4 was returned. I just didn't like the PQ, it was a hazy mess, no matter what I did. I did manage to get SDR to look decent, but it was never "wow" and Dolby Vision was just horrible. I wanted to get the QM8 again, however BB messed up my order and I cancelled it. So I will rock with S90C until next year. I just think it looks too yellow (and I can't get that corrected) and soft. Next year I'm hoping there's an 83 Inch QD Oled with better processing and brightness for under $5k at launch. I don't think any TV is worth more than $5K.

@MichelleAlexandria-EM TV Journey continues. LG G4 83 is growing on me. I finally got the picture mostly dialed in and in the last few days it seems like the Haze has basically disappeared. I just wish it was brighter, but I don't think it's worth exchanging at this point in the hopes for a brighter TV next year.
Update
I'm having a hard time justifying keeping this TV. It's certainly not $4,000 better than my S90C and I do just like the S90c better. I just don't feel like dealing with returning it and I actually already paid it off. So it's not really about the money.

@leAlexandria-EM I don't know what to do about this LG C4 83 inch TV. I absolutely hate the picture quality. It either looks like a giant blue computer monitor or if you put the warm settings or calibrate the blue out it looks like a dark, muddy, mess. I'm an LG fangirl and LG has been my main/primary/only TV for 10 years. So I know how to set these things. C4 is definitely the Brightest OLED I've seen outside of the G4 and brighter than my S90C, but it still just seems "dark" even though it's bright. Primarily because the "Brightness" comes from all the Blue which makes the picture look cold.
I'm going out of town for 2 weeks next week and I really don't feel like dealing with BB anymore and trying to return this TV.. But I'm 70 percent sure it's going back and I will just keep the S90C for another year and hope LG does something different next year (we know they won't) or that the 83 Inch QD OLED is reasonably priced (we know it won't be). My other option would be to give the 83 Inch S90C a try. It's $2,599 right now and I can probably live with that tv for a few years. But I haven't seen in it in action. But knowing Samsung at least it shouldn't be overly Blue and weirdly "hazy" like the C4. It shouldn't be this hard to get a TV. The saving grace is I got this TV for $3,600.

@MichelleAlexandria-EM I like the Hisense U8N 85 inch TV a lot. Price vs. Performance is fantastic. It wasn't buggy. Had a few minor issues with HDMI Switching a Game Mode I could never quite set the way I wanted. But considering I only paid $1,800 those are issues I can live with and wait for a Patch. I ended up swapping it for an LG 83 C4 simply because it had a amazing Labor Day sale of $3,749 and with a Coupon I was able to get it for about $3,600 all in. At that point I had to pounce on that deal. One day I will learn how to work one of my many cameras so I can film a TV without it always being out of focus. That's annoying shoot a 23 min video only to see that the video on TV is fuzzy. Oh well. watch video on watch page

@MichelleAlexandria-EM Wow, the LG C4 93 Inch Oled is $3,799 today . I've never seen an 83 Inch Oled this cheap. Although the Samsung 83 S90C is $2,600. That may be the TV to get. I'm very torn. The Hisense U8N only cost me $2,200 and I'm really enjoying it. But I got the C4 because the 83 Inch had a great sale and I had a $200 credit. So I only paid an $1,800 difference between the C4 and Hisense. I'm hoping I don't miss the brightness and colors of the Hisense.

@MichelleAlexandria-EM Wow the 83 inch C4 is on sale for $4,200 it's tempting to exchange my Hisense for that. While it won't be as bright the processing will be better and will be a TV I would probably keep for 4 or 5 yrs - assuming there's no issues with dirty screen.

@MichelleAlexandria-EM I'm really enjoying the Hisense U8N Tomorrow will be a nice test as I have 8 4K Rental disks that I need to sit down and watch. I've had them for a month. This Rental company must hate me. LOL. But so far I have zero issues with this TV. It's been bug free, bloom free, PQ is really good. Maybe not as "sharp" as an OLED but good enough. Really nice colors, clean panel. I dropped the black level to -6 and now I'm getting that near OLED black level, without much crushing. It's remarkable really. Mini LCD has come a long way. And it's just amazing that I only paid $1,800 for it. I'm not going to lie I'd love to see the U9N when it comes out but I can't imagine it'd be much better than this one. Price to Performance is unbeatable. Only TV that would come close when looking purely at Price to Performance at this size would be TCL QM8

@leAlexandria-EM So far I'm really enjoying the Hisense U8N. I don't know really how it differs from the TCL QM8 without having the TCL QM8 next to it. Maybe the TCL is slightly "better." But it seems to be the same to me if I remember correctly. The PQ is Solid and I don't have any complaints so far, black levels are crazy - I was watching my Disney Fireworks show that I recorded Friday (great video for testing blooming) and I didn't see any bloom (very impressive), it does a great job with 1080p content and is a super clean panel. I don't really watch much low bitrate content, so can't really comment on upscalling. But I haven't seen any issues with pixelation on YouTube streaming. I'm very pleased so far. This is like having an 83 inch OLED without the crazy price. At $1,800 for a TV this size and quality is truly incredible. I'm not saying I wouldn't rather have an 83 inch OLED (namely the G4), but considering the price of an 83 inch OLED is literally more than double the cost (or in the case of the G4 - triple) it's hard to justify that price difference for the "minimal" performance increase.
