Today is a tough day for #wrestling fans. May 23, 1999 (25 years ago today) the world lost Owen Hart when a stunt gone wrong at Over the Edge 1999 cost him his life. For 25 years there's been (too much) back and forth amongst fans about the #WWE Hall of Fame and Martha refusing to let the WWE make money off his name.
4 years ago today - up and comer joshi wrestler Hana Kimura took her own life after relentless bullying online after appearing on a reality show where one of the other castmates destroyed her ring gear. This death spawned legal reform in Japan and elevated the worldwide conversation of cyberbullying.
And today would have been the 37th birthday of Windham Rotunda - known famously as Bray Wyatt - who had a heart attack in his sleep less than one year ago - though his character and ideas continue to live on through his younger brother Bo Dallas.
