Incoming special episode on the occasion of 2^9 subscribers! I had a lot of fun making this one.
I'd like to solicit ideas for a 2^10 subscribers special, which should theoretically happen soon. The number of subscribers, not necessarily the special, might happen soon. 😉

After waiting for one "possibly lost" parcel from Amazon, I eventually cancelled, re-ordered, and finally got my hands on this. Video as soon as I get some time to take a proper look; I'm already late to the party.

A football game play video on the same day as Super Bowl LVIII?!?
What are the odds?
As my Dad used to say, "100% ... now."

Some sort-of-exciting news has been announce by Atari. I say "sort of" because, as usual, Canadians seem to have been left out in the cold, literally as well as figuratively. An "Atari 400 Mini" replica home computer has been announced, and is being produced by the same company behind the well-received, well-supported C64 Mini, C64 Maxi, and the Amiga Mini. It looks great! That company is "Retro Games Ltd." I quite like my C64 Mini, although I haven't fired it up in awhile.
My problem with it is that Atari, as usual, will not ship to Canada. How hard is that, really? Charge for it appropriately, and carry on with business in an expanded market; there are 38 million of us, you know. I've expressed my disappointment at this sort of thing in the past, and I'll continue to do so in the future. I see that I can pre-order one from Amazon UK, but that seems a bit excessive. Maybe I'll do that. Grrrr.
Do better, Atari.

I was there at the dawn of home computers and home video games. I was an Atari kid with exposure to lots of other systems over the years through friends and family. I loved playing games back then, and I still love them today. Share my joy and rambling thoughts as I play classic retro-games and not-so-classic retro-games.
I've delved into Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft. Get it? "Delved"? Hah? Hah? I've played some more modern games from my Steam library, and I expect to make videos about a great many games on many different systems.
Come along for the ride and join me in those explorations. I promise to make a whole heap of dumb jokes along the way.
