Taking a short break from youtube weejios this month because we're busy opening a restaurant in my hometown of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! FUIYOH!
Never in my life would I expect this to be a reality. 4 years ago I was just a comedian making silly videos in my apartment. And now I have a fried rice restaurant that's going to get roasted by everyone HAIYAAA.
Grand opening is on September 11, put in your calendars so you never forget. But if you're a fan who wants to make history with Uncle Roger and me, come dressed as Uncle Roger on September 14, 9am. The team and I have been eating so much fried rice wok hei is now my favorite cologne. We're all really proud of the food we're putting out.
But seriously, a sincere thank you to all the love and support all you nieces and nephews have shown me since the beginning. I hope to one day expand the restaurant internationally so everyone can try Uncle Roger's fried rice.
PS: Right after the restaurant opens, I'm also off to do shows in Delhi, Taipei and Dubai. Hey nieces and nephews! Uncle Roger and I are currently in Japan, and we’re going to film the 9M omurice weejio soon.
It’s taken a lot of planning for us to finally nail down a time with Sensei Motokichi. He’s a busy man who runs a hugely popular restaurant. The next couple weeks we’re focusing on filming and editing this, so no new weejios for the next two weeks. Omurice vid will only go live April 28. But I might film a short or two to tie us over.
