Itās kind of crazy to me that one of my classmates in seminary, Fr. Rick, is now the pastor at my familyās parish.
We spent seven years studying together, preparing to be priests, but I never imagined God was also preparing him to be a spiritual Father for my family.
He very kindly allowed me to come by and do my nieceās 1st Communion (she was thrilled). Iām just five years into ministry, but there have already been so many moments filled with Godās providence. Good things to come!

6 Catholic priests in a band, packed the house with 2,400 people at a sold-out show last Friday!
Over the past 12 years, the Concert for Life has raised over $1 million dollars for women in crisis pregnancies. This year, we had almost 4,000 people come to the shows in three cities.
A huge thanks to everyone who came and donated, and a special thanks to the priests in the band.

Every member of the Concert for Life band is a Catholic Priest! We have guys from all over the country who are absolutely top-notch musicians.
They could easily be playing professionally in the music world (and several have), but chose to go all-in on priesthood instead.

This is one of the greatest gifts Iāve received as a priest. In the Church, priests are often referred to as Dragon Slayers (the devil is depicted as a dragon in Revelation).
I told a friend I would love to have an image of a priest slaying a dragon. They asked an artist friend if sheād be willing to give it a go, and she
painted this ORIGINAL image for my birthday. I absolutely love it.
Itās a constant reminder to me that Confessions, Mass, and the pursuit of virtue are all a battle for souls, one that we will win. I actually wrote a song called āDragonsā that you can hear on this summerās Concert for Life Tour (tickets available now)! Link on my channel!

Even though priests perform sacraments, they can still be sponsors and godparents when others receive them!
A young man Iāve known for awhile, Arthur, asked if I would be his confirmation sponsor. Iāve known him for several years and even trained him to turn pages for the priest at the Altar. Heās a good man with a bright future!
If youāre a godparent/sponsor, take this as a reminder to live out your responsibility well! Souls depend on it.

Cool story: I did my annual priestly retreat at St. Michaelās Abbey in Orange, California last week. While there, I met a seminarian named Frater (brother) Francisco (to my left). He said, āYou know, youāre the first priest I spoke to about my discernment.ā I was confused, because weād never met.
He said, āYears ago, I watched a YouTube video about your life as a priest. It really calmed my fears and I left a comment saying I was interested in the priesthood. You replied back recommending a book, To Save A Thousand Souls. I read it and now, here I am.ā
An older priest at the Abbey told me that Frater Francisco is āa saint in the community.ā
From a YouTube comment to a Norbertine Abbey- God works in mysterious ways. May Jesus Christ be always praised!
